Minister for Culture, Communications and the Creative Industries, Ed Vaizey MP switched on the  Oxford DAB radio transmitters at the Oxford Museum of the History of Science, the home of the historic Marconi Radio exhibition.  A UK radio first, three stations including 106 JACKfm, BBC Radio Oxford and Heart Fm joined together for a  joint live broadcast to mark the ‘Switch On’.

From today many areas including Abingdon, Bicester and Banbury are receiving digital radio for the very first time, with 300,000 listeners across Oxfordshire also now able to hear their favourite local stations in addition to national broadcasters on DAB. We have a number of retailers in the Oxfordshire area who stock a wide range of Pure digital radios including:

Wadleys, 30 Market Square, Bicester, OX26 6AG

Peter B Ledbury, 69 Sheep Street, Bicester, OX26 6JW

O’Gormans, 5 Grove Street, Wantage, Oxon, OX12 7AB
