Spoil mum this Mother’s Day with a Pure radio

With Mother’s Day coming up on the 18th March, we’ve got some great gift ideas if you want to say it with music this year.

Evoke Mio SRP £129.99

Bring a splash of colour to any room with this classic easy-to-use digital and FM radio, based on our multi-award winning Evoke-1S.

An easy-to-use compact radio with great audio and chic design, Evoke Mio comes in five striking two-tone colour schemes: teal, lava, grape, cherry and noir.

Featuring a kitchen timer, alarm and auto-dimming OLED display, Evoke Mio also has an input for your iPod and takes an optional ChargePAK rechargeable battery pack for portable listening.

Evoke Mio Orla kiely Abacus Edition SRP £149.99

And for a designer take on the Evoke Mio, the Orla Kiely Abacus edition is a stunning looking radio which we think any mum would be pleased to receive.

Featuring Orla’s Abacus Flower print in slate grey front and back, a mirror chromed folding handle, walnut veneered cabinet and cream fascia, the radio fits perfectly with Orla’s extensive homeware range and contrasts nicely with our existing Evoke Mio by Orla Kiely featuring Orla’s signature stem print.

One Classic Series II SRP £64.99

This digital radio not only sounds fantastic and is easy to use, it also has a new Listen Later feature which enables you to save your favourite programme and play it back later. How handy is that?

The One Classic II has a smooth black or white satin touch finish  and has an input for iPod/MP3 players and digital radio pause and rewind.

This cutie offers hours of portable listening per charge of the optional rechargeable ChargePAK C6L, reducing the cost to you and to the environment. Alternatively you can use six standard C size alkaline batteries.

Contour 100Di SRP £99.99

A compact and stylish iPod, iPhone and iPad dock, Contour 100Di has a small footprint but impressively powerful, detailed audio. Its contemporary design sits easily in most interiors and its beautifully engineered revolving dock will accommodate iPod, iPhone and iPad models.

Perfect for an office, kitchen or living room shelf, this sleek dock delivers big sound. The Contour 100Di features both DAB and FM radio

If you want to listen to internet radio then simply download the Pure Lounge app onto an iPod/iPhone and gain access to thousands of radio stations, tracks and ambient sounds as well as all the music you want wherever you want it via the Pure Music subscription service.

There’s a slimline remote which attaches neatly to the back of the unit (magnetically) and the dock itself rotates seamlessly to be tucked away from dust particles when not in use.

Move 2500
SRP £89.99

A compact, light personal DAB digital and FM radio, Move 2500 is ideal if she loves radio on the move.

With its sleek aluminium fascia, mirror finish casing, recessed controls and the latest in-ear headphones it might seem a shame to hide Move 2500 in a pocket.

Not only does it look great but Move 2500 sounds fantastic too thanks to its in-ear, noise-isolating headphones and separate bass and treble controls.

Move 2500 is ideal for the commute or a trip to the gym and if she’s off on holiday it’s an ideal travel companion as its multi-standard digital tuner will pick up local digital stations wherever she goes.

PURE celebrates 10th anniversary with a colourful new look

10th January 2012, PURE –  the world leading maker of wireless music and radio systems – is celebrating its 10th anniversary by unveiling a colourful new brand identity at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

Says Paul Smith, Pure’s general manager: “In the past ten years, Pure has evolved from a relatively niche UK radio manufacturer, to an internationally recognised consumer electronics brand. To launch Pure into its next decade, we felt it was time to take the brand to the next level, building on our strengths from the past ten years but also reflecting the exciting future ahead.”

Colin Crawford, Pure’s director of marketing, continues: “We worked with leading London design agency Lambie-Nairn to come up with a distinctive and contemporary take on the Pure logo and a series of bright, colourful ‘expressions’ which will be used across everything we do. The new brand identity celebrates Pure’s classic design heritage, while illustrating the rich and vibrant content experience that our products and services deliver.”

A market-leading and innovative British company, Pure was established ten years ago as part of Imagination Technologies (one of the world’s top three suppliers of semiconductor intellectual property) to showcase Imagination’s new technology areas. The Pure Evoke-1, which was the first high-volume sub £100 digital radio quickly sold out and had people queuing on London’s Oxford Street to get their hands on one, and now, over 70% of DAB digital radios are powered by Imagination’s technology.

Pure continues to effectively pioneer, drive and showcase products incorporating many of Imagination’s key technologies and focusses on designing better solutions that connect people to the things that matter to them. Its success in digital radio in the UK is now being replicated throughout Europe, Australia and North America, with over 4 million broadcast and wireless audio systems now sold.
